Another good value from HP and Amazon! Purchased this for use as a CAD and graphic design workstation. We are a small company and cannot afford higher priced systems. This computer is more than high end enough to run the resource hogging programs we threw at it. Sound is great, wireless and wired internet work well. The sheer number of USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports is amazing. And it’s fast – like lightning fast. Set up and installed software in no time. I’d buy another one just like it!

I have had issues with this computer since i bought it. The internet has issues connecting a lot of the time, and windows 8 is extremely frustrating. The computer also freezes up and don’t open up applications when I click on them. I’ve had to end processes multiple times for it to work.

The norton that was installed on the computer was awful, it blocked everything but never gave me the option to "trust site" or "download anyway" so programs I needed I couldn’t download. It is also awful when it comes to adds, I constantly have pop ups on the computer both while on the internet, and random popups to "Backup" my computer. I have tried to reach Amazon to see what to do about this but have not received a response. Very disappointed in the computer as i spend a lot of money one it.

I bought this because I had a crash with my old one (hard drive and video card)and didn’t want to be without one while I fixed the old one. I gave it four stars because I really don’t like windows 8,I downloaded 8.1 so I have the desktop back, but I much prefer windows 7,I’ve been using this one for a week now, but the old one is now fixed, so I’ll probably switch between them.

Let me be clear – I own an HP Envy series computer (actually I bought two of them for my business).
Believe the reviews that say "this is a slow computer"!!
Because it is an exasperatingly slow computer!
And I even purchased the upgrade 12 GB of RAM and it is still very slow.
My recommendation (based on 7 months of experience now) – stay away from all HP Envy series computers – they are very slow.

I checked four other sales sources for this computer and ALL were featuring significantly lower prices (as much as $100) than Amazon for exactly the same machine.
I also found this to be true last week when pricing a laptop. I was under the illusion Amazon offered the best prices–but apparently not, at least for computers.
Buyer beware!
Also, I currently own an HP but would be hard pressed to buy another one. The machine is OK but customer service and tech support are disasters. Customer beware.
